fine art

Large-format works conceived through story and symbol, staged and captured on 4×5 film,
the first movement of a single artistic vision.
From film slide to digital tablet to oil on canvas, each stage patiently informs the next.

What emerges is more than a painting. It is a sculpted presence, quietly holding the gravity and mystery of a world shaped through countless acts of deliberate attention.

Artist Statement

a lover of convulsive beauty,

attentive to ritual, feverish with creative fire,

shaped by study, exploration, and devotion.

multilingual; fluent in the languages of image-making, symbolism, alchemy,

and the sacred art of self-decoration.

a painter’s soul, as gentle as the wise woman’s knowing,

drawn equally to restraint and excess, silence and spectacle.

a kaleidoscope bestowed with consciousness

and aspirations towards the infinite,

yearning to lean softly against the cheek of God.

the work moves through archetypal terrain;

mythic, psychological, and erotic,

encoding meaning into form, objects, and in the spaces we inhabit.

the practice seeks to reanimate what modern life has thinned or forgotten:

saturnalia,

the ephemera of myth and dreams,

the immortal thirst for splendor.

each work is an invitation into heightened attention;

to stand at a threshold of the known and the ineffable,

and to encounter beauty not as decoration,

but as a force that refines perception, presence, and becoming.
