A Jewel Box for Ritual and Celebration

This is the room where the evening begins. Hidden within the corridors of a historic 19th century East Austin home, wine damask climbs the walls like a living thing. Velvet in oxblood and garnet pools beneath sculptural brass fixtures, and Italian marble catches the light of a crystal chandelier overhead. Every surface was chosen to hold warmth, to deepen color, to make the skin glow.

A Pre-Raphaelite Persephone watches from the wall, pomegranate in hand, the queen who moves between worlds crowning the composition as a place of transformation and celebration. A place to dress, to gather close, to feel the electricity of what is about to unfold. The room does not simply contain a moment. It consecrates it.

What began as an interior became a stage.

Full scope interior design of the room, from architectural finishes and custom millwork to lighting, wallcovering, window treatments, textiles, furnishing, art, and styling. One room within Maison Rêve, a boutique hotel set in a historic nineteenth century Victorian in East Austin, carried from structure through completion.
